FEDRO is responsible for traffic management on national roads. A central task of national traffic management is heavy traffic management, especially for cross-Alpine and cross-border heavy traffic. The Heavy traffic is metered or held back and directed to waiting rooms in front of the incident site. A transport service is required to operate these waiting rooms. This should be on behalf of the national traffic management center (VMZ-CH).
