the canadian coast guard (ccg) has a requirement to procure gyro compasses for ccg vessels for various delivery points across canada.
background
the canadian coast guard (ccg) has a requirement to procure gyro compases which are intended for life cycle management of gyro-compasses on ccg vessels. There is an international maritime organization requirement for vessels of a certain size to be equipped with a gyro-compass for navigation purposes. In addition, ccg`s arctic going vessels are required to have dual gyro-compasses for redundancy purposes.

it is proposed to solicit a competitive bid through buy and sell for this requirement.
a standing offer will be awarded to the responsive offeror with the lowest price as detailed in the rfso.
public works and government services canada (pwgsc) intends to put in place, a three (3) year national individual standing offer (niso), with two (2) additional one (1) year option periods, to procure the required compasses.
prices will be determined at the rfso phase through competition. If only one compliant offer is received, price support and price certification will be requested.
