TheRussian Federation has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 70 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of theSocial Inclusion through Sports Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to beprocured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by theRussian Federation.
The project will include the followingcomponents:Component 1: Promoting Social Integration of DisadvantagedGroups through Sport.This component contains consulting services for applied analysis and learningof best practices for social inclusion throughsports; training and advanced training of public service employees; preparation andimplementation of Social inclusion activitiesfor disadvantaged groups; development and implementation of public information and advocacycampaign. Component 2. Development of Accessible Sports Infrastructure.This component contains procurement of works and consultingservices for construction of new sportsand recreational centres (including preparation of the design and technical documentation) and procurement of sportsequipment for availablesports facilities in the six pilotmunicipalities. Component 3. ProjectManagement.This component includes consulting services for projectimplementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project results. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted throughthe procedures specified in the World Bank''''s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits u0026 Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January2011), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank''''s Guidelines: Selection and Employment ofConsultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits u0026 Grants by World Bank Borrowers(January 2011). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under theWorld Bank''''s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, asthey become available, in UN Development Business and on the websiteof the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation (www.minsport.gov.ru).Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will be requiredfor the following contracts:· Construction of sports and recreational complexes with swimmingpools· Construction of sports and recreational centresMinistry of Sport of the Russian Federation.
