Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Firm to Provide Comprehensive Numeracy & Literacy Training for Youth-at-Risk.

The Ministry of Finance of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas has received financing from the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), and intends to apply part of the proceeds under the Citizen Security and Justice Project for a Firm to Provide Comprehensive Numeracy & Literacy Training for youth-at-risk. The overall objective is to aid in the increase of youth employability and employment among at-risk-youth in The Bahamas.

The main activities are as follows:

i. Identify a methodology to train youth-at-risk;

ii. Provide a competency-based curriculum in Numeracy and Literacy;

iii. Present an annual training plan for 2019 and 2020;

iv. Recruit and register participant for Numeracy and Literacy training;

v. Deliver the curriculum and instruction to 700 participants

vi. Facilitate the training

vii. Record student information and;

viii. Monitor student achievement, instructor effectiveness and program delivery through an evaluation and sustainable strategy.

The Government of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants should provide their CV's and information demonstrating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions). The duration of the contract is 1 year.

Consultancy Firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants Financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-9 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the policies.
