This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being conducted

requirement:
the contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the install a bird cannon system. The system would discourage birds from populating and frequenting the immediate runway environments. This objective can be achieved by strategically placing a series of remote bird deterrent units on the airfield. Each bird deterrent unit will be capable of producing, via radio command, lp gas cannon blasts, and select units will emit recorded bird distress cries.
The system would consist of the following:
- at least 1 computer based master workstation capable of controlling all cannons.
- software that allows for activation tracking and current status of all cannons to include fuel levels. Software must be upgradeable to incorporate new sounds and techniques.
- at least 8 hand held transmitter units that can activate any of the cannons from any point on the airfield
- the cannons should be self-contained, not require an outside electrical power source (be solar powered), waterproof, on a rotating platform, portable/moveable but also have the ability to be mounted
- cannons must be solar powered (for electrical power) and the firing powered by standard 5 gallon lp gas cylinder
