IVVO is an intermunicipal company that represents 12 municipalities with approximately 145, 000 inhabitants. IVVO operates a organic waste fermentation plant in Ypres. This installation processes organic waste that is collected door-to-door. The organic waste is removed via a wet mesophilic fermentation processed. The digestate from the fermentation is processed in post-composting into compost that meets the Vlaco standards. The project concerns the design and realization of the optimization of the existing digesters. For the present project (= phase 2), a capacity expansion is not the goal, but it is to increase flexibility (surface area, residence time) in processing the existing capacity.
