At the national level, a reform of the Land Use and Construction Act is underway, in connection with which the Act on the Built Environment Information System (RYTJ Act) has also been approved. The RYTJ Act, the future Land Use Act with its regulations and the Construction Act will become mandatory municipalities to submit information generated in planning and building permits to the national built environment information system (RYHTI system). The materials mentioned in the RYHTJ Act must be submitted to the RYHTI system no later than the beginning of 2029 Some of the data generated in planning must be submitted in data model form to the future national RYHTI system. This means that the way of preparing formulas and processing the produced formula material will change in the next few years from the current and this requires municipalities to develop their own work processes and possibly introduce new information systems and software. On 29 August 2023, the city of Jämsä submitted a grant application for a partnership testing project built by the Unions of Municipalities and Provinces through the grant application for the renewal of environmental information management, the application notice was published on May 5, 2023. A grant of 98, 075 euros was applied for in total, and the Ministry of the Environment granted the city of Jämsä the grant as requested by a decision dated 3 October 2023.
