Description : UNON on behalf of UN-HABITAT Egypt Programme seeks the interest of qualified NGO/firms to participate in the upcoming solicitation exercise for the Development of Sharm El Sheikh Strategic Urban Plan - Mobility Sector. The primary task of the transportation and road network consultancy is developing a strategy for Sharm El Sheikh`s urban mobility including its transportation and road network. The scope of work consists of studying formal and informal transportation, planning for the city`s growth based on smart and environmentally friendly solutions, and identifying the needed urban mobility and street network projects until the target year 2045. The NGO/Firm will also be responsible for providing inputs to the strategic urban plan including development areas/projects, land use plan, basic urban services and planning/building regulations. Accordingly, the consultants work will include but will not be limited to the following transport-related elements of the plan: A. Public transport (PT) systems B. Non-motorized transport (NMT) facilities C. Travel demand management D. Land use-transport integration E. Motorize transportation and connectivity with the surrounding cities and other main cities (Cairo and Hurghada as an example) F. Studying and analyzing the impact of King Salman Bridge Project G.
