Description:

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:
Through the "Strengthening Pre-Service Teacher Education in Myanmar" (STEM) project, UNESCO is supporting the Myanmar Ministry of Education to improve the pre-service teacher education system in Myanmar. Broadband internet infrastructure will be provided to 24 Education Colleges across Myanmar. A qualified company is sought to develop an online learning portal prototype by customizing Moodle that will support staff, teacher educators and student teachers at Education Colleges across Myanmar. The online learning portal is accessible through web browsers.
The purposes of the online learning portal are the following:
1. Improve Education College staff, teacher educators and student teachers- access to subject matter and teacher education reference and training modules;
2. Support the ongoing professional development of Education College staff by acting as a platform to deliver online training modules for Education College teacher educators, managers and administrative staff; and
3. Facilitate communication between Education College personnel and UNESCO/the Myanmar Ministry of Education.
