Description:

Design & inspection teams (consultants) for the retrofitting of multiple healthcare facilities in each of the countries – Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.
The retrofitting is aimed at making the facilities safe from the impact of natural hazards (principally hurricanes, earthquakes, torrential rain and coastal hazards), adapting to climate change and contributing to the mitigation of climate change.
Retrofitting projects will individually be of the order of approximately US$0.5million. The first ones are expected to start early in 2016 and the last ones are expected to be completed by the middle of 2021.
The design & inspection teams are expected to include architects, engineers (various disciplines) and any other disciplines required by a particular team.
Prospective Bidders should indicate in which of the seven countries they are interested in providing services.
The scope of services will include:

o detailed inspection of the existing facilities to determine the retrofitting requirements;

o preparation of preliminary designs, cost estimates and time schedules for approval by the client;

o production of tender and construction documents;

o inviting tenders and advising on the award of construction and supply contracts;

o administering and inspecting construction and supply contracts;

o delivering as-built documents to the client.
Companies and or their key personnel should have a minimum of 5 years experience with similar projects and the capacity to undertake retrofitting works at 2-3 health facilities simultaneously.
