SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS A feasibility study has developed a concept design for a new vessel with an adapted hull at the waterline; derived from the existing Alia to improve its efficiency, stability, and load-carrying capacity . This ToR is for the design and production of a prototype of an vessel. The main purpose of the proposed vessel (henceforth referred to as the e-Alia) is to carry passengers between the islands of Upolu and Manono. The e-Alia should have a minimum payload of 2000kg or 12 passengers and the boat operator. All 12 passengers shall have allocated seats. The minimum service speed shall be at least 10 knots. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is aimed at selecting a Supplier (hereinafter referred to as “Boat Designer”) who will turn the concept design into a full build plan and assemble and deliver a prototype e-Alia and equipment in accordance with accompanying standards and requirements.
