Scope and objectives:
There are several features which may be considered in the construction of an eco-lodge, but the most important pre-requisites include:
1. Must be made of local materials which are sustainable (ex. bamboos, recycled wood)

2. Management and placement must take into consideration the presence of valuable ecosystems or natural environment, and communities that act as stewards for their heritage;

3. Integration of solid and liquid waste management system.
Other enhancement to the eco-lodge concept include:
1. Integration of clean energy (ex. solar panels, wind turbines);

2. Rain catchment;

3. Organic herb and vegetable garden for the kitchen;

4. Bio remediation for the management of gray water from the kitchen;

5. Water recycling;

6. Dry toilet

7. Materials recovery facility integrated in the kitchen design;

8. Climate change adaptation designs (ex. Passive cooling)
Deliverables:

The consultancy firm is expected to submit the following reports:
1. Perspective Drawings

2. Detailed Architectural Plan

3. Operational Manual
Qualification of Consultants
1. At least 1 team member must be a licensed architect;

2. Must have undergone training on eco-lodge design and development;

3. Must have extensive experience in designing ecotourism infrastructure and should be able to show proof of work;

4. Must have experience and knowledge in ecotourism business planning and sustainability strategies for enterprises;

5. Must be able to show proof of related work in the last 3 years.
