Tenders are invited for DATA-INPUTTING AND DIGITISATION OF PATENT DOCUMENTATION WITHIN A BACK OFFICE IT DATABASE SYSTEM FOR THE INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY REGISTRATIONS DIRECTORATE
The subject of this tender is the data-inputting and digitising of paper-based patent Intellectual Property documents found in the patent archive/registry at the Industrial Property Registrations Directorate within the Commerce Department. The successful tenderer shall: * retrieve patent files from the filing cabinets where these are archived in order to pursue data to the inputted and to extract documents as necessary for OCRing and scanning; * manually input patent details from the paper-based patent documentation into the backoffice IT database system (BOIT); * provide the necessary and appropriate OCR scanning equipment and carry out the scanning and indexing of full patents documentation ensuring a highly efficient character scanning per page and output layout as that of the original documentation; * upload OCR scanned and or digitised documentation into BOIT and verify the accuracy of the information entered in BOIT; * restoring original hard copies patents documentation / files into appropriate storage boxes provided by the Commerce Department
