The World Bank issoliciting proposals from a consulting firm to collect quantitative andqualitative data in Morocco to inform nationally representative assessments ofthe childcare situation and inform an international study on childcare. Under the supervision of the World Bankcountry team, and in close collaboration with the World Bank Global Study team, the firm will conduct the data collection using the package of quantitative andqualitative situational assessments, which will be shared at the start of theengagement. Asummary of the responsibilities of the design firm is provided here, with moredetails below. 1. Preparationof study design a. Preparea technical note detailing all phases of the assignment, including datacollection, design of the sampling plan, data processing and analysis, validation tests, logistics, training of the teams involved, as well aspresentation of results. This note should also focus on adapting the toolsdeveloped as part of the international study to national specificities, takinginto account the specific demand and supply of childcare services in Morocco.b. Adaptthe tools to the local context - and add any additional modules/questions asrequired. c. Coordinatewith World Bank team on CAPI programs for quantitative surveys. The demand-sideand supply-side assessment should be done using Computer Assisted PersonalInterviews (CAPI).d. Samplingmethodology i. Preparethe sampling strategy for the various studies based on the sampling adviceprovided by the World Bank team; ii. Samplingof the sample for the various studies based on the guidance provided by theWorld Bank teams; iii. Fordemand assessment, a census exercise in the selected enumeration areas will benecessary to establish the final sample; iv.
