This is a competitive 100% small business set-aside invitation for bid (ifb). The acquisition is subject to the north american industry classification system (naics) code of 237130 with a size standard of $36.5 million. This acquisition will be handled as an ifb prepared in accordance with federal acquisition regulation (far) subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between to $1, 000, 000 and $3, 000, 000. Place of performance will be in pinal county, az.
The principal components of work include removing 6.1-miles of existing 4/0 copper conductor, 3/8 inch-high strength (hs) steel overhead ground wire (ogw), and nineteen (19) wood structures on the coolidge-valley farms 115-kv transmission line; furnishing and installing 6.1-miles of new 954 kcmil 54/7 strand, acsr, cardinal conductor, 48-fiber optical ground wire (opgw), 3/8 inch hs steel ogw, including assemblies and vibration dampers, nineteen (19) new wood structures, several new steel angle overhead ground wire supports and several new glued laminated cross-arm assemblies; installing conduit and fiber optic cable in the coolidge and valley farms substations, terminating the fiber and testing the completed fiber optic installation.
