Tender Details

The main purpose of this project is to develop and optimize a fully-functional ACAS (Assisted Commercial Authentication Service) pre-operational receiver and prototype server, with state-of-the-art technology and performance, and its demonstration in an operational environment including real GNSS authentication signals and with a dedicated testing platform. Such a platform has never been developed before and is considered as highly beneficial for ensuring ACAS correct implementation. It includes analysing critical aspects as hardware synchronization, form factor optimization, real-time signal authentication algorithms able to discern, to the extent possible, between natural impairments (e.g. multipath) and targeted interference, or client-server real-time connectivity. These developments contribute not only to adding resilience to satellite navigation but also to increase the accuracy of authenticated positioning. The project also intends to develop an advanced ACAS testing platform.
