Description
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) intends to issue a Sole Source award to Phantomx GMBH. The Government intends to issue a sole source award in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements for the above stated service.
The scope of the work is to provide breast phantoms. One phantom shall have a uniform background breast shape emulating x-ray attenuation of adipose tissue with 10, 10 mm long cylinders of radius 5 mm, two masses with each iodine concentration of 0.25 mg/ml, 0.5 mg/ml, 1.0 mg/ml, and 2.0 mg/ml
The other four phantoms shall have anthropomorphic breast background structure matching a virtual breast phantom supplied by the FDA.

This will be a firm fixed price award for a Base Period and four (4) one (1) year Option Periods.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement to Iris Johnson, [email protected] in writing and must be within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice which may be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
