Parts of fire protection pulp do not meet standard requirements and need to be taken care of. The concrete tube of the tunnel is then protected by a fire protection compound from Promat Cafco Fendolit MII.

The fire protection compound is applied with an average thickness of at least 26 mm, on the outer walls against the water from roof to floor and the entire roof one meter down on the inner walls. The fire protection mass consists of vermiculite andPortland cement absorbs moisture, which in connection with water leakage leads to damage to the fire mass as the fire mass cannot dry out due to millions and does not fill its function anymore.

Damaged fire mass is removed until non-damaged (eroded) fire mass is recovered. New fire protection is fitted with partially flattened fire plate as a replacement for damaged fire mass.
