Invitation to tender for the Provision of Conventional and Cosmetic Knee, Ankle, Foot Orthoses (KAFO's)

This tender is for the provision of KAFO's to The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The tender is for the supply of KAFO's including repairs, alterations/modifications and serving as detailed below:
Knee, Ankle, Foot Orthoses (KAFO) Provision of a comprehensive range of both cosmetic and conventional KAFO's using a full and extensive list of componentry and design options (but not to include carbon fibre based orthoses).
Repairs, Alterations and Servicing The supplier must have the ability to carry out any alterations or repairs required to a conventional or cosmetic KAFO and provide a 6-monthly servicing amenity for general maintenance of prescribed devices.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS Foundation Trust Hospital that has an international reputation for Orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine, with specific additional areas of expertise including research in to spinal and metabolic disorders affecting muscular development. Situated near Oswestry in north-west Shropshire, the Trust also provides the orthotic service for both The Royal Shrewsbury and Princess Royal Telford Hospitals. Specialities within these trusts extend to diabetes, neurology, rehabilitation, pediatrics and all departments found within district and general hospitals.
The Shropshire Healthcare Procurement Services ("SHPS") is a shared Procurement Service for the Hospitals in Shropshire and is carrying out this procurement for their member Trust Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. SHPS reserves the right to enable other member Trusts to access the contract should a need arise. These Trusts at listed below:
— The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
— Shropshire Community Hospital NHS Trust.
