Purchase of a Frequency Noise Analyzer to the Department of Engineering at Aarhus University

Reference Number : 2019-0016080

Aarhus University puts out to tender the purchase of a frequency noise analyzer (FNA) to the Department of Engineering.

Main Site : Aarhus

Aarhus University puts out to tender the purchase of a frequency noise analyzer (FNA) to the Department of Engineering.

The FNA will be used to measure the frequency-noise (FN) power spectral density of a test laser as a function of the Fourier frequency. This will sever as evaluating the intrinsic linewidth of a laser, which is limited by quantum fluctuations. This FN power spectral density is also used to determine the source of technical noises (usually from surrounding electronic components) that deteriorates the overall stability of the test laser.

The purchase is published in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (Udbudsloven) § 191, because this contract has a total estimated value below the EU thresholds, but are considered to have cross-border interest.
