Organ transport in the air for the Rigshospitalet

The Rigshospitalet has a medical unit that handles organ transplantation of heart, lungs, liver, kidney and pancreas. This is facilitated by transporting a medical team from the National Hospital to another hospital where the organs are located and back again within a short time(about 6-12 hours). The medical team is transported on land from the Rigshospitalet to Kastrup Airport and is then flown to another airport most often in Aarhus or Aalborg, where they are taken to the hospital where the body is to be taken out. When the organ is taken out, the medical team returns with the organ in the same way as the outing. The offer only covers air transport. The coordination is maintained by the company as an organUses the contractor's Land transport of bodies, with associated operations department to manage flight following. The tenderer will therefore be contacted before each flight as well as receive a mailing list of passengers. Rigshospitalet makes 40-50 flights round trip per year, most often to Aalborg or Aarhus. Sometimes there is a need for the Offeror to be able to deliver 2 aircraft at the same time the medical team is flying oneplace while the other aircraft is being deployed to retrieve a body in another European country, cf. the winner must submit a certificate, and only by the contractor's packing requirements.
