Expression of Interest are invited for Consulting Services for the Development of a Third-Party Access Code for the Transmission and Distribution Networks in the Bahamas

The consulting services (“the Services”) includes:

i. The objective of hiring a consulting firm is to support the (URCA) in their task of developing a code to

facilitate a third party (potential electricity providers entry) access to the existing transmission and

distribution (T&D) networks to address the decarbonization efforts in The Bahamas with the

incorporation of renewable energy generation projects. The Third Party Access Code (TPAC) will

allow other electricity

service providers, who are usually Independent Power Producers (IPPs) or distributed generators, to

connect to the existing T&D facilities determined by the URCA through its licensing functions, and

compete with the utilities in the generation of electricity
Expressions of interest must be uploaded to the Government of Bahamas eProcurement website on or before

5:00 pm on 26
