Expression of Interest are invited for Consulting Service for Improving ICT Infrastructure of the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation.
The Ministry of Investment and International Co-operation (MIIC) acting as the government entity in charge of bridging the financing gap for Government Developmental Projects through Official Development Assistance (ODA), has a Grant from the MENA Transition Fund with technical implementation by the African Development Bank to support the Ministry in strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ministry in aid coordination/management of Official Development Assistance (ODA) & resource mobilization to contribute to the socio-economic welfare of the country and the government.
One of the major activities of the “BCIS” project is the development and advancement of Information and Communication and Data Management systems to improve information sharing and processing within the Ministry and with relevant stakeholders, this is in particular with focus on building an enabling infrastructure for ICT in the Ministry.
The services included under this assignment should cover-but are not limited to- the following:
(a) A comprehensive assessment and review of the ICT infrastructural resources; gap analysis and the recommendation to have a well-functioning ICT infrastructure produced.);
(b) Advice, guide and assist in procurement process of hardware and software in cooperation with the ICT technical staff;
(c) Advice, guide and assist in implementing ICT functions with the ICT technical staff and provide the required training to the selected team.
The Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation (MIIC) now invites eligible Consultancy firms to express their interest in providing the above-mentioned services. Interested consultancy firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.). Consultancy firms may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances
of qualification.
Eligibility criteria (restricted to Member Countries of the African Development Bank only),
establishment of the short-list and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the
African Development Bank’s: “Rules and Procedures for the Use of Consultants May
2008 Edition-Revised July 2012” which is available on the Bank’s website at
http://www.afdb.org.
