Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Consulting Service to Develop Awareness and Introductory Materials about Agricultural Insurance for Farmers within the Project “Building the Palestinian Agricultural Insurance System and Services

The general objective of the required consulting service :

The work and implementation of the current advisory mission comes within the implementation plan for piloting current agricultural insurance products (or what we call the pilot project ), where at least 1, 500 male and female farmers will be reached so that they become aware of the importance of agricultural insurance and its benefits, and of them 735 male and female farmers will be reached. To be insured within a group of insurance products that were developed on a commercial basis based on indemnity (indemnity insurance products) based on market studies and actuarial studies in 2019. Farmers will be educated about agricultural insurance in three agricultural sub-sectors, which are: 1) Tomato farms that grow Tomatoes inside greenhouses and the greenhouses themselves, 2) open grape farms, and 3) poultry farms under the closed system .

Hence, the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development, in partnership with Oxfam and the Risk Prevention and Agricultural Insurance Fund, seeks to introduce and educate farmers by reaching out to them in the targeted areas and enhancing the extent of Palestinian farmers- knowledge of agricultural insurance in terms of coverage, benefits, joining mechanisms, and other topics related to the project .
