Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Support to Inform and Develop Decarbonization Harmonization Opportunities for the Emgf
understand the magnitude, and concentration of overall emissions arising from natural gas value chain operations (upstream, midstream and downstream) in East Mediterranean natural gas selected exporting and importing member countries -Egypt, Jordan and Israel- and identify emissions hotspots;

understand the various emissions sources along the natural gas value chain (exploration, production, processing, transport, gas flaring, methane venting and fugitives) and their relative contribution to overall emissions in the selected countries;

conduct an overview and preliminary assessment of potential decarbonization measures in natural gas value chain operations for the selected countries -including energy efficiency, abatement of gas flare and methane venting and fugitive emissions, electrification options, low-carbon power and heat and CCS opportunities- that could be leveraged to reduce the carbon intensity of gas production, use and exports and to address emissions across the natural gas value chain;
