Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study Solid Waste Management in NDS.

The Executing Unit for the Re-adaptation of La Barquita and Environments (URBE) has received the approval of the French Development Agency (AFD), for the use of the Fund for Studies and Strengthening of Capacities (FERC), to contract the Feasibility Study for Solid Waste Management in the Nuevo Domingo Savio Sector, within the framework of the Financing Agreement signed with the Dominican State.
This call is aimed at legal companies with experience in Solid Waste Management.
The services of the consultant will aim to:
? Complete the diagnosis, propose additional recommendations and validate it with the different parties involved, integrating the future device in the management of pre-existing waste,
? Propose the design of the planned facilities.
? Evaluate the impacts : legal, institutional, environmental and social, and financial
? Estimate the cost of capital and operations expenses for each action considered and the proposed modalities of coverage
For the performance of services it has been estimated that 120 men-days will be required.
URBE invites the consultants to express their interest to provide the Services described below:
Feasibility study for the Solid Waste Management Improvement project in the Nuevo Domingo Savio sector, to be developed in two phases:

? Phase 1: Diagnosis, market study and preparation of the project program.

? Phase 2: Feasibility study.

The Nuevo Domingo Savio covers the neighborhoods La Ciénaga and Los Guandules, located on the west bank of the Ozama River between the Juan Pablo Duarte and Francisco del Rosario Sánchez bridges, in the National District.
The eligibility criteria for financing of the AFD are established in subclause 1.3 of the "Procurement Rules for Contracts Funded by the AFD in Foreign Countries", available on the AFD website www.afd.fr.
The interested consultants must present information proving that they are properly qualified and have the necessary experience to carry out the Services; they should justify it with recent references to similar services.
If the consultant is an Association in Participation, Consortium or Association (APCA), the Expression of Interest must include a copy of the APCA Agreement between all the members. Alternatively, members must sign and attach to the Expression of Interest, a letter of intent to enter into an APCA agreement in case their proposal is awarded, together with a copy of the proposed Agreement.
