Tenders are invited for Consultancy Services for Design, Tender Document Preparation and Evaluation, Project Management and Supervision for Kenya Transmission Network Improvement Project (KTRNIP).
The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Bank ("AfDB") and Korean Exim Bank (“EDCF”) toward the cost of the Kenya Transmission Network Improvement Project (KTRNIP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for Preliminary Design, Bid Documents Review and Preparation, Guiding the Tendering Process and Award, Evaluation of Contractor's Detailed Design and Construction Supervision for Kenya Transmission Network Improvement Project (KTRNIP).
The services included under this project are, but not limited to:
• Reviewing existing draft bidding documents prepared for transmission lines and substations
in KTRNIP.
• Preparation of final bid documents and contract addenda in a format acceptable by the Bank.
• Assist in the process of bidding including tender opening, tender evaluation and award for the
most suitable contractor in consultation with the Client.
• Carry out detailed design review for the EPC contractor in consultation with the Client.
• Assist in Project management and Contract Administration and Management.
• Construction supervision including supervision of tests and commissioning for the various
projects under KTRNIP
