The Street and Working Children Community Intervention Programme (SWCCIP), formulated by CPFSA, seeks to measurably improve the safety, well-being and development of children in highly vulnerable situations, particularly those who are living and working on the streets, by further strengthening Jamaica-s national and community childcare and protection systems. This will include strengthening the social service workforce and increasing the availability of social and financial support services to vulnerable children and their families. The intervention program commenced in October 2024 with the implementation of Phase 1 (Pilot) - in eight (8) communities located in six (6) Parishes across the island Under Phase II the interventions will be introduced to a further ten (10) communities identified by the Street and Working Children Taskforce. These communities will be selected from the parishes of Clarendon, St James, St Andrew St Catherine St Ann, Kingston and St Andrew. 1. Clarendon 2 communities 2. St. James 2 communities 3.
