Services are paid by fixed prices. This sports complex is made up of two distinct volumes - a first volume composed of a concrete base 4 meters high, anchored in the natural slope of the land, ensuring stability and resistance to natural risks and a second upper volume made of wood, 13 meters high, housing the sports hall. Its inclined shape and its roof recall the attic roofs and the reliefs of the hills of Rouen. The building fits into the slope of the site and opens to the south towards the landscape and the hydraulic garden. The volume interacts with the urban and landscaped fabric of the campus. The project affirms its commitment to reducing the carbon footprint and a frugal approach to the act of building by using massive amounts of wood in structures, a biosourced insulation. The project is also based on a bioclimatic design, taking advantage of natural light and passive solar protection such as roof overhangs and a ventilated wooden facade. This important aspect of the project is based also on significant vegetation contributing to thermal comfort and biodiversity while reducing impermeable surfaces, favoring the natural infiltration of water.
