Tender Details

Tender are invited for Building a two story building to house an engineering laboratory (including 3D printing), workshop, machine shop, research laboratory, offices and a conference room, along with mechanical rooms and other support spaces. The building is steel framed with concrete foundations and slab on grade. Exterior cladding is a rain-screen system of high performance concrete panels (noted as GFRC on drawings) anchored to a cold formed steel stud framing. Base bid (as opposed to Add Alternate # 3) includes face fastening of the concrete panels to a galvanized furring channel backup system. Roofing is TPO. The building does not have a cellar. Mechanical rooms are located on the first floor and the roof penthouse. Providing site improvements around the building. Currently, the site is mostly occupied by a parking lot. Site work includes removal of asphalt paving, regrading, connecting to existing utility lines around the site, providing site drainage, providing pedestrian access concrete paths and steps, lawn, trees, shrubs and other landscaping elements. The project is to meet LEED silver requirements. There are three add alternates as part of this bid : Add Alternate #1 : Addition of a computer classroom on the 2nd floor of the building above the mechanical room.Add Alternate #3 : A Concealed anchoring system for the exterior cladding system. Add Alternate #2 : Additional site work to the south of the new building.
