Expression of Interest are invited for Comprehensive Sector Assessment with Integrated Roadmap for Solid Waste Management in West Bank and Gaza
The consultancy assignment seeks to conduct a sector-wide assessment for Solid Waste Management in West Bank and Gaza, with an aim to develop and integrated roadmap for the sector. The assessment will be based on three sustainability pillars environmental, financial and social, with a cross cutting pillar on governance. The priority topic areas are: i) waste minimization, diversion, recovery, collection; ii) Waste disposal and climate change considerations for SWM sector in West Bank and Gaza; and iii) Financial sustainability, including cost optimization and revenue enhancement for the entire chain of SWM. The assessment will develop concrete recommendations for implementation of an integrated roadmap for solid waste sector in West Bank and Gaza, which will include identification of investments, incentives, policy reforms, institutional development and capacity building interventions. The final comprehensive assessment will serve as an input to future interventions in the sector.
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
