The Future Forests Ecosystems Centre of the Ministry of Forests is seeking a forestry consultant to deliver extension services for the Climate Change Informed Species Selection (CCISS) tool. This includes producing practitioner-ready guidance that translates CCISS outputs into operational tree species selection decisions, developing species-specific management recommendations, and creating a comprehensive extension package (presentations, articles, web content, and user-facing materials) that clearly explains how and when to use the tool in practice. The contractor will also design training (online course, webinar, and explainer video) and lead hands-on pilot implementation of CCISS within reforestation programs by working directly with select end user from the Ministry staff, BC Timber Sales, licensees, and/or forest landscape planning tables.
