Tenders are invited for for the provision of classroom resources

the department of education and training (det) delivers education to school students to develop the knowledge, skills and qualities they need for the future. to deliver education, schools and teachers require a range of classroom resources.

det is establishing a non-mandatory soa for the provision of classroom resources for use by det schools and the non-state, catholic and independent schooling sectors. other queensland government agencies may also choose to utilise the soa if suitable for their needs.

The objective of the soa is to provide schools and teachers the ability to easily purchase a whole range of products from a supplier, through a one-stop-shop approach, to satisfy their classroom resource requirements to educate students.

The soa will cover the following requirements (see part b pqp details, schedule 1 requirements for full details). The following are in-scope for this soa:
books: a written piece of work in the form of either a written text or digital text (e.g. Ebook, pdf format).

Technology: products intended for use in a learning capacity in the classroom such as educational robotics and supporting software and applications, standalone learning software, data loggers and sensors and digital devices/resources).

Curriculum resources: reusable classroom resources used in the education of students (games, puzzles, charts etc.).

Consumables: replenishable classroom resources used in the education of students (e.g. Paint, paper, arts and crafts etc.)

sport and physical education: resources used for gross and fine motor skills (e.g. Active play equipment, gym mats, play kitchens).
