Tenders are invited for Child Protection Consultant.

· Timeframe: 27 days across August-September, 2018

CARE International in Papua New Guinea seeks a Child Protection Consultant to develop a Child Protection Framework for Pikinini Kisim Save including a comprehensive Child Protection Risk Assessment and Implementation Plan for the project.

The role will work together with, and build the capacity of CIPNG, the Pikinini Kisim Save team and the Child Protection/Gender Inclusion Coordinator.

The Child Protection Consultant will lead the analysis of the potential risks and together with the team develop the implementation plan to mitigate risks identified.

The Consultant will also be required to:

· Lead and support the team and Child Protection/Gender Inclusion Coordinator to review and map child protection services, policies and systems at national, local and community levels to identify strengths and gaps, and opportunities for contributing to and linking with these systems to enhance outcomes for children with awareness of national and local legislation and government department guidelines to do with child protection

· Develop a Child Protection Implementation Plan for the project

· Support the partner agencies to develop a child protection risk assessment for their activities

· Strategies and interventions to provide regular support for Inspectors, District Education Officers, and Church Education Agencies on child protection

· Develop Child Protection Monitoring & Education and reporting schedules and templates for the project, including development of Child Protection Outputs, Outcomes and Indicators
