Description : The Contracting and executing Organization is the Pan American Health OrganizationThe Scope of Works at the La Paix Hospital Emergency room includes, but is not limited to the following:The Works consist of all the design and construction services and the provision of all material, equipment, tools and labor, necessary to complete the building of a new Emergency room for the La Paix Hospital, Port-au-Prince, Haiti and an extended parking lot. The new department will be done in accordance with PAHO Smart Health Facilities. The building shall be hurricane and earthquake resilient and include its own back-up electrical supply and primary level fire suppression. Green measures include installation of rain water harvesting, energy efficient lighting with light sensors in select areas and water efficient fixtures.The construction will be completed while the hospital is in use and every effort must be undertaken by the Contractor to ensure that there is minimal disturbance to normal facility operations. This includes, but is not limited to, noise and dust control, maintaining access to the main entrance of Hospital, and not disrupting the electrical or water supply to the facility without prior discussion and agreement with Hospital management.
