Sources sought synopsis: note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals; the 55th contracting squadron, offutt air force base, ne, is seeking information for market research purposes only for the following services listed below:
this is a sources sought announcement. The 55 contracting squadron intends to contract an extended warranty, service & maintenance plan agreement for the the merlintm xs2530i/ss200m aircraft birdstrike avoidance radar (the ‘system or ‘radar ) manufactured and supplied by detect, inc. (‘detect or the ‘manufacturer ) of panama city, florida usa installed at offutt afb indicated above (the ‘location ) for the 55th wing (the ‘government ). The government intends to execute a one year contract with four options years that includes coverage for labor, materials and other costs for system preventive maintenance (excluding routine maintenance that is to be provided by the government), 24-7 telephone and internet technical support, remote system monitoring, software upgrades and maintenance, and, repair or replacement of any failed parts or components. The government may also be interested in a replacement of the current detect, inc. Merlin system.
Covered equipment & components:
the equipment covered by this agreement includes the merlin system installed and currently operating at the above named location along with any upgrades to the system made by detect since the original delivery date and includes the following:
(a)the system hardware as originally supplied by detect along with any detect-supplied upgrades or modifications made to the system as of start date of this agreement.
(b)the merlin system operating software and any upgrades and/or add-on functionality supplied by detect.
(c)a commercial internet line, through an approved base provider, that will provide remote access capability to system hardware and merlin filewatcher(r) supplied by detect.
