Actually, this network is about 4 200 km long.The technical and administrative data for this network are given in a database which is used by various departments in the company. This database — which is spatial — plays a key role in the operation of the pipeline network. This means that a lot of importance is attached to the accuracy of the data.The 3-dimensional aspect of the database is mainly the result of topographical surveys.
