The National Meteorological Service uses "Vaisala AS41 AUTOSONDE" ground equipment for high-atmosphere radiosonde measurements in Budapest and Szeged. These devices are electromechanical devices that operate automatically, using robot technology. They are able to follow a pre-programmed schedule, on any day of the week, at any prescribed time:
- immediately before the measurement, prepare and check the radiosonde for measurement,
- fill the balloon that sends the probe into the high atmosphere with hydrogen gas,
- release the radiosonde-balloon assembly at the specified time,
- by the probeto receive and process atmospheric data measured and broadcast in real time using its radio transmitter,
- to produce the data in a format suitable for international meteorological data exchange and to transmit it using standard IT tools.
The equipment performs up to 60 high-atmosphere measurements (take-offcan be pre-charged with a quantity of devices suitable for use.
Within the scope of this procurement, the winning bidder is responsible for delivering the following devices suitable for charging the above devices:
- 1, 500 radio probes,
- 1, 200 600 gram balloons,
- 1, 100 balloon valves.
As an option, the tenderer requests to offer thethe following devices for extra spare supply delivery as follows:
- 400 radiosondes.
