Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Acquisition and Installation of Compressors (2) for Natural Gas (Ng) Plant.
The scope of work will include, inter alia:

i. Propose a system design for maximum efficiency at the compressor station;

ii. Supply of two (2) new industrial compressors for the natural gas plant inclusive of all unmentioned parts

necessary for a satisfactory operation and testing;

iii. Handling, transportation, storage, unloading and operation of the compressors;

iv. All required preparatory civil work for the efficient replacement of the compressors inclusive of manpower

and equipment;

v. Removal of two of the aged existing compressor units and deposited in the designated area;

vi. Phased installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of two (2) new compressors; and

vii. Supply of the appropriately qualified personnel and all tools, spares, consumables, equipment and fixtures

required for carrying out the installation and maintenance of the compressors;

The Request for Bids will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified

in the Inter-American Development Bank-s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the InterAmerican Development Bank (GN-2349-15), and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in

the referenced policy.

Interested eligible bidders may participate in a pre-bid conference which is to be held on December 06, 2022 at

10:00 a.m. Barbados/Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Additionally, a site visit / walk-through scheduled for

December 06, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Barbados/Atlantic Standard Time (AST) will follow the pre-bid conference.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Project Execution Unit from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30

Qualifications requirements include:

i. Financial Capability. The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the following financial

requirement(s):

Minimum average annual turnover of USD $1, 000, 000.00, calculated as total certified payments

received for contracts in progress or completed within the last three (3) years divided by three (3);

Access to, or availability of, financial resources such as liquid assets, unencumbered real assets,

lines of credit, and other financial means; net of current commitments other than any contractual

advance payments to meet the following cash-flow requirement:

USD $750, 000.00; and

The overall cash flow requirements for this contract and its current commitments.

ii. Experience and Technical Capacity. The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to

demonstrate that it meets the following experience requirement(s):

General Experience:

Experience in supply and installation of Industrial Rotating Equipment in the role of

contractor, management contractor or subcontractor, for at least the last 3 years starting 1st

January 2019.

Specific Experience:

Participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least two (2)

contracts within the last five (5) years, each with a value of at least USD $125, 000.00.

For the above or other contracts executed during the period stipulated above, a minimum

experience in the following key activities: industrial Installation, electrical installation,

structural installation and engineering.
