24-hour emergency telephone and associated consultancy services within emergency preparedness and crisis management
Background and purpose Norad needs a supplier who can assist with emergency preparedness and crisis management, including a 24-hour emergency phone line for employees on business trips and professional support in preventive emergency preparedness. A majority of Norad's employees undertake business trips, mainly international, also to countries and areas with increased risk. Norad has extensive travel activities, and the acquisition will contribute to the proper handling of any acute and serious incidents, as well as strengthen the company's work with prevention, crisis management, crisis exercises and follow-up. The number of trips varies from year to year, but the total number of trips is usually between 200 and 270 individual trips per year. It is expected that more than half of these journeys will be made by more than one employee. There have been no inquiries to Norad's emergency telephone service in the last 3 years (corresponding to the registration of this).
