ALLAHABAD AIRPORT Allahabad is the 7th most populous city in the Uttar Pradesh with an estimated population of 1.1 million in the city and 1.21 million in its metropolitan region. The city original name ‘Prayag comes from its position at the sangam of Ganga, Yamuna and Sarasvati rivers. The city is home to colleges, research institutions and 2 dozen central and State Govt. offices. In 2019 Kumbh Mela, Allahabad will target peaceful gathering in human history with 15 million people.
