The State Office for the Environment (LfU) is the state authority responsible for wolf monitoring in the state of Brandenburg. To fulfill national reporting obligations within the framework of national wolf monitoring and FFH reporting obligations as well as to determine territorial As a basis for legally compliant removals, the LfU awards contracts for wolf monitoring. The wolf is a protected species that is expanding. As a large predator, it requires large shelter areas. The scope of the Tender covers parts of Brandenburg Area north of Lübben - Beeskow - Eisenhüttenstadt Part of the service to be awarded is to provide evidence and information about the wolf in the areas mentioned in the service description (corresponding Lots) to determine and document and to check and verify external evidence or information. The aim is to determine and delimit territorial wolf occurrences (packs, territorial pairs, territorial individuals) as well as the reproductive success of the pack.
