Walking and cycle path connection Schloßstraße-Ohling in Wittlich | Negotiation procedure with participation competition according to the VgV for the award of the property planning (service profile for engineering structures) according to § 43 HOAI The district town of Wittlich is planning to build a slope bridge starting from Schloßstrasse, the construction of a new bridge over the Lieser and the creation of a footpath and cycle path that will run over both bridges (hereinafter: "construction project"). The order includes the services of property planning (performance profile Engineering structures) according to § 43 HOAI in service phases 1-9. The planning of the new bridge over the Lieser includes the demolition of the existing bridge ("Lieser Bridge"). The cycle path should largely run on the slope bridge but also over the water bridge. The idea is to create a modernized connection between the upper town and the southwestern urban area through the cycle path. The main purpose of the construction project is to improve the walking and cycling connection between the two Urban areas (Schloßstrasse/Ohling/Römerstrasse) with particular attention to paths that are as barrier-free as possible. The aim is also to promote climate-friendly forms of mobility, to make short inner-city journeys more attractive and thus make a contribution to contribute to sustainable urban development.
