Wagenstadt primary school - earthworks, drainage, shoring, pipework and shell construction work Object description The elementary school was built in the 1960s and consists of a three-story main building without a basement. West of the main building A single-storey extension was built in 1998; At the same time, renovation work was carried out in the main building. The load-bearing outer walls as well as the supports and beams are made of reinforced concrete, the non-load-bearing inner walls are made of reinforced concrete made of sand-lime brick masonry (KS solid bricks). The ceilings above the ground floor and the first floor are designed as ribbed ceilings with a total thickness of approx. 33cm. The ceiling above the 2nd floor is also designed as a ribbed ceiling It is filled with pumice stones and has a total thickness of approx. 25cm. The permissible load classes of the ceilings must be taken from the as-built plans and must be adhered to during construction. Task The Herbolzheim-Wagenstadt elementary school will be extensively rebuilt and renovated over a period of approximately 1½ years. The existing building will have an additional attic with a gable roof and a full-surface thermal insulation composite system with a curtain facade. The building is stripped down to the shell completely gutted and then renovated. A new reinforced concrete extension will be built to the south of the existing building.
