VMware vSphere Training
BACKGROUND
Strategic Weapons Facility, Pacific (SWFPAC) requires in‑person, instructor‑led training for 15 personnel on VMware vSphere. The agency's server infrastructure and software-defined data center (SDDC) are standardized on the VMware vSphere 7 platform. This course provides the essential foundational knowledge for operating and maintaining VMware technologies within a software‑defined data center environment. Because vSphere is the core virtualization platform upon which most other VMware solutions depend, this training is critical to ensuring SWFPAC personnel can effectively support, troubleshoot, and optimize the command-s virtual infrastructure.
SCOPE
The contractor shall provide and deliver the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized commercial training course, VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V7]. The purpose of this training is to provide SWFPAC employees with the specific skills needed to manage the agency's standardized VMware virtual infrastructure.
The contractor shall provide a complete training package that includes the following:
Training Session: A single, five-day, in-person, instructor-led training session conducted onsite at SWFPAC facilities for up to fifteen (15) students.
One (1) currently certified VMware Instructor (VCI) to lead the training.
Course Content: The training must use the official VMware curriculum, providing hands-on instruction that covers, at a minimum, the following topics:
VMware ESXi™ 7 and VMware vCenter Server® 7
VMware vSphere® Client™
vSphere standard and distributed switches
VMware vSphere® VMFS datastores
VMware vSphere® vMotion® and Storage vMotion®
VMware vSphere® High Availability (HA) & Distributed Resource Scheduler™ (DRS)
VMware vSphere® Lifecycle Manager™
