As part of the open procedure, a transmission electron microscope (TEM) is advertised.Materials, advanced characterization techniques as well as technology and method development. The group focuses on a profound understanding of materials and manufacturing technologies using multi-arcal characterization techniques, micro- and nanoanalyzes downto the nanometer scale, micro and nanomechanical material tests and the development of in-situ methods in electron and x-ray microscopes. A new topic is the analysis of widener-neck conductor materials such as silicon carbide (sic), Galliumnitrid (GAN) and gallium arsenide (GAAS).One central goal is to determine the defect density in order to be able to quantitatively evaluate the quality of the materials.
The Fraunhofer IKTS deals with the production and analysis of the Widebandgap-Halfleiterkatern in the SaxCrystalpower project.
