Description:

The United Nations Offices at Geneva (UNOG) on behalf the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is seeking for qualified companies and associations based in Geneva to offer specialised training on indigenous issues and the expert mechanism on the rights of indegenous peoples. The successful bidder will be responsible for offering training on indigenous issues in the areas of promotion and defence of the rights of Indigenous Peoples and strengthening of the knowledge and effective participation of the indigenous people delegates in meetings for which they receive support from the Fund. The training includes the introduction and explanation of human rights methodology; the history of international law and the international law of Indigenous Peoples; documentation research; analysis of data and summary information; implementation of local/national projects to denounce human rights violations among many other issues related to Indegenous peoples.
