The renovation of hall 218/219 is planned on the site of Stadtwerke Leipzig GmbH on Arno-Nitzsche-Straße in Leipzig. Houses 218 and 219 are part of the former gasworks on the site and part of a building ensemble consisting of two similar buildings Hall masonry buildings and a flat central building. It was built around 1890 in solid brick construction and is included in the city of Leipzig's list of monuments. Building 218 is a hall building made of masonry with a truss construction is overstretched. The functional building is constructed without supports over its entire length and is reinforced with thick outer walls. The building is divided into three parts, the middle workshop area was perceived as an open space, while the two Side wings were divided into two floors into small parts. This situation has now changed due to demolition work, foundation work and newly built spatial structures.
