According to the current state of the art, hydrogen tanks are tested for bursting at room temperature to check their safety. A test stand for checking the structural behavior of hydrogen tanks in the cryogenic temperature range does not currently exist. To ensure safety against bursting in the cryogenicTo ensure the temperature range, very conservative safety factors are used in the design. This results in additional structural weight.
