Background and objective (genesis) The cross-border railway connection Freiberg - Most (Brüx), known in Bohemia as the "Teplitzer Semmeringbahn", was opened to public transport on May 18, 1885. It served primarily that Transporting lignite from the North Bohemian mining area to Saxony, but early on it developed additional importance in passenger and excursion traffic. The section in question Holzhau - Moldava (CZ) is on Saxon territory currently infrastructurally dismantled; Tracks are no longer there. However, as far as we know so far, no formal de-dedication has taken place in accordance with Section 23 AEG, meaning that the section could continue to be dedicated to railway law.
